Edmund Optics Ltd. in Malaysia is seeking a Supply Chain Assistant Manager to support daily operations across material planning, purchasing, inventory control, warehouse activities and shipment planning to ensure materials are available on time and inventory remains accurate.

You will collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, Customer Service and Logistics to maintain material availability, monitor supplier delivery, and drive continuous improvement in lead times and cost control, while

Qualifications

Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Manufacturing Management, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain, planning, purchasing, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing.
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Support purchasing, planning, warehouse, inventory control, and shipment coordination.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure material availability and smooth production flow.
Monitor supplier delivery status and material shortages to avoid delays.
Review purchase orders, supplier commitments, and delivery schedules.
Coordinate receiving, storage, issuing, and stock accuracy; perform cycle counts.
Assist in inventory control activities including slow-moving stock and stock reconciliation.
Prepare supply chain reports and support continuous improvement projects.
Ensure compliance with LMW, customs, and internal control guidelines.
