Job summary

Edmund Optics India Private Limited in Malaysia is seeking a Supply Chain Assistant Manager to support daily operations across purchasing, planning, warehouse, and inventory control, ensuring timely material availability for production. You will coordinate with Production, Quality, Engineering, Customer Service and Logistics to prevent delays, monitor supplier performance, and maintain accuracy in stock records.

This role also covers LMW compliance and import/export documentation.

Qualifications

• Supports purchasing, planning, warehouse, inventory control, and shipment coordination.
• Provides cross-functional collaboration with Production, Quality, Engineering, Customer Service and Logistics.

Responsibilities

• Support daily supply chain activities across purchasing, planning, warehouse, inventory control, and shipment coordination.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Engineering, Customer Service and Logistics to ensure material availability.
• Monitor supplier material shortages and delivery status to avoid delays.
• Review purchase orders, supplier commitments, and delivery schedules.
• Assist in shipment planning to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Prepare supply chain reports such as shortages, inventory, and delivery performance.
• Support LMW compliance, documentation control, and customs-related records.
• Lead or support team members in problem solving and continuous improvement.
