Daviscomms (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee planning, material control, inventory, warehousing, logistics and on-time delivery in a high-mix electronics manufacturing setting. You will lead a cross-functional team and drive improvements in MRP, inventory management and supplier coordination to meet customer commitments and quality standards.
The role requires strong analytical skills, ERP proficiency, and experience in ISO-compliant environments.
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end planning, material control, inventory, warehouse, logistics and supply chain execution to ensure uninterrupted production and on-time customer delivery.
The position leads the Supply Chain team and works closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Sales, Finance and suppliers to ensure material availability, effective inventory management and customer delivery performance. Mandarin Speaker require .
Lead overall supply and production planning activities.
Review customer demand, forecast and order requirements.
Develop material and production plans to support customer requirements.
Identify supply risks, constraints and potential delivery issues.
Develop recovery and contingency plans for critical shortages.
Monitor supply chain capacity and resource requirements.
Drive continuous improvement in planning processes.
Lead MRP and material planning activities.
Ensure materials are available according to production requirements.
Monitor material shortages, past-due materials and critical components.
Coordinate with PMC and Production to ensure material readiness.
Review BOM, demand, inventory and material requirements.
Ensure proper control of:
FIFO
MSL
ESD
Customer-owned materials
Monitor material readiness before production release.
Resolve material-related issues affecting production.
Establish and monitor inventory targets.
Control excess, slow-moving and obsolete materials.
Improve inventory turns and working capital utilization.
Monitor inventory accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
Establish action plans for aged and excess inventory.
Monitor inventory aging and material utilization.
Ensure effective control of customer-owned and company-owned inventory.
Note: Purchasing and commercial supplier management are excluded from this role.
Monitor supplier delivery performance based on confirmed requirements.
Follow up on overdue and critical material deliveries.
Escalate supplier delivery risks to the appropriate Purchasing/Management function.
Coordinate with Purchasing on material shortages and delivery recovery.
Oversee warehouse operations including:
Receiving
Material storage
Material issuing
Inventory control
Picking and kitting
Shipping
Ensure proper material identification and traceability.
Ensure compliance with FIFO, MSL, ESD and storage requirements.
Improve warehouse layout, space utilization and productivity.
Monitor inbound and outbound logistics.
Ensure finished goods are shipped according to customer requirements.
Drive On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance.
Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Production and PMC to meet customer delivery commitments.
Monitor order status and production readiness.
Identify potential delivery risks at an early stage.
Lead cross-functional recovery actions for delayed orders.
Provide accurate delivery status and escalation updates to Management.
Ensure supply chain activities support customer satisfaction.
Lead and develop the Supply Chain / PMC / Material Control / Warehouse teams.
Set clear departmental KPIs and objectives.
Monitor team performance and productivity.
Coach and develop team members.
Ensure sufficient manpower and backup coverage.
Promote teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.
Ensure Supply Chain activities comply with company procedures and customer requirements.
Support compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100 and RBA requirements.
Support internal, customer and external audits.
Drive Kaizen, Lean and process improvement activities.
Improve planning accuracy, inventory control and material flow.
Develop and maintain Supply Chain procedures and work instructions.
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Materials, PMC, Planning, Warehouse or Logistics.
Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership position.
Experience in EMS, PCBA, electronics manufacturing or high-mix manufacturing is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of MRP / ERP systems.
Good understanding of BOM, MRP, demand planning and inventory management.
Strong knowledge of material control and production planning.
Understanding of PCBA / electronics manufacturing processes is an advantage.
Knowledge of FIFO, MSL, ESD and material traceability.
Strong Excel and data-analysis skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
Strong decision-making and escalation skills.
