Responsible for leading end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, planning, and warehouse management, to ensure cost efficiency, supply reliability, and operational excellence.
This role will drive continuous improvement, strengthen supplier partnerships through effective negotiation, and align supply chain strategy with business growth objectives. It also requires strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate across functions, influence stakeholders, and lead a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement & Strategic Sourcing
- Lead sourcing and procurement of direct and indirect materials
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans
- Identify and deliver cost reduction and value improvement initiatives as directed by Global and/or Local Management
- Analyze market price trends and manage supplier negotiations
- Establish multi-sourcing strategies to ensure business continuity
- Negotiate MOQ and commercial terms to optimize cost, cash flow, and inventory
- Drive supplier development and performance management in collaboration with technical teams
- Ensure incoming material quality (IQC compliance)
2. Supply Chain Planning
- Lead demand and supply planning processes
- Develop accurate material forecasts to support production requirements
- Ensure effective production planning and scheduling
- Manage inventory strategy, including safety stock optimization
- Conduct market and demand trend analysis
- Ensure high service levels while minimizing stockouts and excess inventory
3. Warehouse and Inventory Management
(I) Raw Materials
- Oversee receiving, storage, and handling of materials
- Ensure timely supply to production to prevent downtime
- Implement lean systems (Kanban, JIT) for material flow
- Maintain high inventory accuracy through cycle counts and controls
- Manage inventory ageing and slow-moving stock
(II) Finished Goods
- Oversee storage, handling, and distribution of finished goods
- Ensure on-time and accurate delivery to customers
- Drive warehouse space optimization and efficiency
- Implement robust inventory control systems
- Continuously improve process flows and logistics efficiency
- Monitor and reduce obsolete and ageing inventory
4. Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Drive Lean and process improvement initiatives across supply chain
- Improve OTIF (On-Time-In-Full) delivery performance
- Enhance inventory turns and working capital efficiency
- Identify and eliminate inefficiencies and bottlenecks
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Technical, Production, and Finance) to enable the successful delivery of departmental value creation plans (VCPs)
- Align supply chain strategy with business and product objectives, with a focus on cost optimization and material efficiency
- Support NPD and product launches through proactive identification of alternative sourcing options
- Develop and lead a high-performing, accountable supply chain team
Key Skills & Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Logistics, or a related field
- Professional certification (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) is an advantage
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, planning, and warehousing
- Proven ability in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization
- Solid knowledge of inventory management, forecasting, and demand planning
- Familiarity with Lean, JIT, Kanban, and continuous improvement practices
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills (Excel/ERP systems)
- Effective stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to lead teams and build a high-performance, results-driven culture
