Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a highly experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead end-to-end operations across six departments in Semenyih. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution to scale operations while maintaining quality, compliance, and profitability.

You will drive procurement, inventory, production scheduling, logistics, Halal compliance, and business development support, building scalable processes and mentoring department heads.

Qualifications

• 7 years of supply chain or operations experience
• 3 years in a managerial or leadership role
• Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, retail, distribution, or trading
• Experience with Halal-certified operations or JAKIM compliance is a strong advantage

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with growth objectives

We are a fast-growing FMCG and wellness company seeking a highly experienced, strategic, and operationally strong Supply Chain Manager to lead our end-to-end supply chain and operations ecosystem across multiple departments.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong balance of strategic planning, operational execution, procurement management, inventory control, logistics optimization, and leadership capabilities. You will be responsible for overseeing and integrating six core operational departments: Logistics, Procurement, Warehouse, Production, Halal Compliance, and Business Development operational support.

Duties and Responsibilities Strategic Supply Chain Leadership

• Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
• Integrate planning across procurement, production, inventory, logistics, and distribution.
• Drive operational scalability, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional coordination between operations, sales, finance, and business development teams.

Procurement Management

• Oversee sourcing, supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and procurement planning.
• Ensure cost optimization, supplier performance management, and supply continuity.
• Develop strategic relationships with local and international suppliers.
• Monitor purchasing trends and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Warehouse & Inventory Management

• Manage warehouse operations, storage utilization, inventory accuracy, and stock movement.
• Implement inventory control systems, cycle counting procedures, and stock reconciliation.
• Reduce stock loss, expiry, and inventory variances.
• Ensure accurate inventory reporting and optimal stock levels across all channels.

Production Coordination

• Align production planning with sales forecasts and inventory requirements.
• Monitor production efficiency, output, quality standards, and manufacturing schedules.
• Coordinate closely with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Support production process optimization and capacity planning.

Logistics & Distribution

• Manage transportation, order fulfillment, delivery performance, and third-party logistics providers.
• Improve order fulfillment speed and customer service levels.
• Optimize distribution costs, routing efficiency, and delivery operations.
• Monitor logistics KPIs and implement service improvements.

Halal & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with JAKIM Halal standards, documentation requirements, and audit readiness.
• Coordinate Halal certification renewals, supplier compliance, and regulatory documentation.
• Maintain food safety, operational compliance, and quality assurance standards.
• Prepare operational documentation for audits and inspections.

Business Development Operational Support

• Support operational requirements for new sales channels, vending machine expansion, retail partnerships, and event activations.
• Ensure inventory and logistics readiness for business development initiatives.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to support market expansion projects.

Leadership & Operational Excellence

• Lead and develop department heads and supervisors across all six operational functions.
• Establish SOPs, KPIs, reporting structures, and performance management systems.
• Conduct workforce planning, performance reviews, coaching, and capability development.
• Drive ERP, inventory management, and operational digitization initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of supply chain or operations experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations, production planning, logistics, and distribution.
• Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, retail, distribution, or trading industries is highly preferred.
• Experience with Halal-certified operations or JAKIM compliance is a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP / inventory management systems.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly growing business environment.
