Job summary

AMC Cincaria Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead the SCM department and ensure JIT materials, quality, and on-time delivery.

You will mentor a team of assistants and executives, develop processes, maintain SOPs, and work with CEO and Finance on purchasing policy and annual sales forecasts.

Candidates should have a degree or diploma in business administration, strong MS Office skills, and knowledge of mechanical/electrical components and manufacturing methods.

Job description

The Supply Chain Management (SCM) Manager leads the Supply Chain Management Department to ensure that the supply of materials, goods and services are Just In Time (JIT), achieving the organizational goal of ensuring that all products are made with the correct direct and indirect material, best manufacturing practices, equipment, and quality, and are delivered to customers according to the agreed schedule. The role involves being the customers' advocate, providing excellent customer service by managing the entire Supply Chain professionally, and representing the company professionally when managing matters with colleagues, suppliers, service providers and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of Supply Chain Assistants and Executives to meet the Departmental Objectives and Goals
• Be a role model for everyone within the team and the company
• Identify areas of improvement, then develop system, procedures and lead the team to implement it successfully
• Ensure there is sufficient and up to date Policies and Standard Operating Procedures to guide and support the work within the department and company
• Monitor and ensure all Policies and Standard Operating Procedures within the company are followed and supported by the team
• Train, monitor and ensure that the entire Department has the right attitude, skills, and technical knowledge to fulfil their roles and objectives
• Provide all stakeholders with best advice related to supply chain management
• Constantly upgrade self with the latest and best Supply Chain Management knowledge through trainings, seminars, and self-study
• Work with other individuals in all departments to ensure that customer requirements are met at all times
• Work with the CEO and the Finance Dept Head to establish the Purchasing Policy and plan the Sales Forecast annually

About you

• Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or any other related courses
• Organisational Structure and Planning
• Competent in all Microsoft Office software – able to demonstrate planning and monitoring of Supply Chain
• Mechanical, Electronic and Electrical knowledge
• Familiar with all electronics and electrical components
• Able read and comprehend mechanical drawings
• Familiar with Plastic Injection Moulding, Sheet Metal Fabrication, Machining, Casting and Wire Harness manufacturing technologies
