Job summary

PERSOL Malaysia is seeking a Supply Chain Management Manager (SCM) to develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business goals, market changes, and cost-reduction initiatives. You will coordinate with planners to forecast demand and ensure timely material availability.

• 10+ years' hands-on experience in Supply Chain Management, including Supply chain planning, Procurement and sourcing, Inventory management, Warehouse and logistics operations.
• Proven experience managing international supply chain activities and cross-border business transactions including APAC & Europe.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team of approximately 20 employees, with strong people management & leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize supply chain operations, improve efficiency, manage costs, and respond to changing business and market requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business goals, market changes, new opportunities, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Forecast demand with Supply Chain Planners to develop supply plans and ensure timely material availability.
• Coordinate supply chain activities with Sales & Marketing, Production, Finance, and Quality Assurance.
• Review and improve supply chain practices to comply with environmental policies, standards, regulations, and laws.
• Manage strategic and tactical purchasing activities, including material requirements planning and supplier coordination.
• Negotiate prices and commercial terms with suppliers, vendors, and freight forwarders.
• Monitor supplier performance against quality, delivery, and service requirements.
• Review production forecasts and supplier performance metrics and implement supplier evaluation and selection procedures.
• Design and develop plant warehousing strategies for production materials and finished products.
• Assess material-handling equipment and staffing requirements to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.
• Manage warehouse and receiving activities to support efficient material flow.
• Identify and implement new or improved supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Continuously review processes and identify opportunities for cost reduction, productivity improvement, and operational optimization.

Work with Supply Chain Planners to forecast demand and develop supply plans to ensure timely material availability.

Develop procedures to coordinate supply chain activities with Sales & Marketing, Production, Finance, and Quality Assurance.

Review and improve supply chain practices to comply with changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, and laws.

Manage strategic and tactical purchasing activities, including material requirements planning and supplier coordination.

Job Requirements:
