Job summary

Myamax Precision Engineering – Melaka, Melaka is seeking a Quality Engineer to evaluate suppliers, review incoming materials, and lead problem-solving efforts for quality issues. The role collaborates with procurement, engineering, and production teams to ensure supplier quality meets standards.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, has experience with metrology and quality tools, and can drive CAPA initiatives in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Engineering background in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2–3 years experience in metrology (CMM, Smartscope, roughness tester, etc).
• Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, GD&T, and Control Plans.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or industry standards.
• Proficiency in 8D, 5-Why, and root cause analysis techniques.
• Strong communication to work with suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Supplier audits & assessments to ensure compliance with standards (ISO 9001, etc.).
• Quality control & inspection of incoming materials/components with acceptance criteria.
• Problem solving with supplier using 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone analyses for CAPA.
• Supplier development to improve processes and quality.
• Documentation and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Cross-functional collaboration with procurement, engineering, and production to address supplier quality issues and support new product development.
