Job summary

IBM Finance & Operations in Malaysia is seeking a detail‑oriented Supplier Enablement Associate to help onboard suppliers, manage registrations, and ensure compliance across procurement platforms. You will work with cross‑functional teams to streamline onboarding and optimize supplier data quality.

You will collaborate with Procurement Operations, Accounts Payable, and Vendor Master to resolve issues, drive adoption of Ariba and other tools, and support continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years experience in Supplier Enablement or related procurement roles.
• Strong understanding of onboarding and vendor master processes.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier onboarding, activation, and ongoing support across procurement platforms.
• Be primary contact for suppliers on onboarding, system access, e-invoicing, and compliance.
• Manage supplier add/change requests; validate data and hand off to Vendor Master.
• Drive supplier adoption of Ariba and other digital procurement tools.
• Conduct supplier data quality reviews for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Collaborate with Procurement Operations, Accounts Payable, Vendor Master, and stakeholders.
• Monitor onboarding metrics; identify bottlenecks and drive improvements to reduce cycle times.
• Support supplier communications, training, and awareness for policies.
• Manage escalations ensuring SLA compliance.
• Analyze enablement trends and propose automation opportunities.

Your Role And Responsibilities

• Lead supplier enablement activities, including supplier onboarding, registration, activation, and ongoing support across procurement platforms and processes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers regarding onboarding requirements, system access, electronic invoicing, and procurement process compliance.
• Manage supplier add/change requests, ensuring completeness of documentation, validation of supplier information, and timely handoff to Vendor Master teams.
• Drive supplier adoption of procurement technologies and self-service tools such as Ariba and other digital procurement platforms to improve transaction efficiency.
• Conduct supplier data quality reviews and validation checks to ensure accurate supplier master records and compliance with internal controls and policies
• Collaborate with Procurement Operations, Accounts Payable, Vendor Master, Compliance, and Business Stakeholders to resolve supplier issues and streamline onboarding processes.
• Monitor supplier onboarding and enablement metrics, identifying bottlenecks and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle times and improve supplier experience.
• Support supplier communications, training sessions, and awareness programs to increase compliance with procurement policies and digital procurement solutions.
• Manage escalations related to supplier registration, onboarding delays, data discrepancies, and supplier adoption challenges while ensuring SLA compliance.
• Analyze supplier enablement trends, root causes, and operational performance data to recommend process automation and transformation opportunities.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• 0-2years of experience in Supplier Enablement, Vendor Management, Procurement Operations, Sourcing Support, or P2P Operations.
• Strong understanding of supplier onboarding and vendor master processes.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Experience with Ariba, SAP, Coupa, ServiceNow, Oracle, or other procurement platforms.
• Knowledge of supplier compliance, supplier lifecycle management, and procurement controls.
• Strong stakeholder and supplier relationship management capabilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills.
• Experience managing SLA-driven operations and escalations.
• Analytical mindset with experience using reporting and performance metrics.
• Experience driving process improvement, automation, or digital procurement initiatives.
