Mewah Group in Malaysia is seeking a Supervisor, Utility (Steam Boiler Operators Grade 1) to supervise daily operation and maintenance of utility facilities, including package boilers, cogeneration, water treatment, air compressors, steam distribution and natural gas utilities.
You will plan and monitor preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance; supervise manpower and contractors; ensure EHS compliance; and drive reliability improvements through RCA and TPM practices.
Job Responsibilities:
Supervise daily operation and maintenance of utility facilities, including Package Boilers, Cogeneration Plant, Water Treatment Systems, Air Compressors, Steam Distribution, and Natural Gas Utilities.
Plan, coordinate, and monitor preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and minimize plant downtime.
Manage manpower allocation, shift rosters, and daily maintenance activities.
Monitor and control the usage of spare parts, consumables, and maintenance materials to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
Supervise contractors and ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently, and within approved scope.
Ensure compliance with EHS requirements, PTW, LOTO, and statutory regulations.
Conduct safety inspections, housekeeping audits, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead or participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve equipment reliability.
Support utility shutdown activities, including Boilers and HRSG maintenance works.
Requirements:
Steam Boiler Operators Grade 1 is highly advantaged.
Minimum Technical Certificate/Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related field OR Minimum 10 years of experience in utility operations, maintenance, or related industrial maintenance environment.
Experience in handling rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, blowers, motors, and fans.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance planning and maintenance management.
Experience in manpower supervision and contractor management.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Knowledge of TPM, RCA, and reliability improvement programs is an added advantage.
Preferred Skills: Mechanical or Instrumentation maintenance experience within utility plants, with strong knowledge of utility equipment operation and reliability.
