Job summary

Jobstreet Malaysia is seeking a site coordination professional in Kuala Lumpur to oversee subcontractors, inspect works, and ensure compliance with project specs.

You will liaise with project teams, review drawings, conduct daily site inspections, monitor quality per ITP, and enforce safety and PPE on site. This role requires hands-on oversight of construction activities and timely rectification of defects to meet CONQUAS/QLASSIC standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and follow up with Sub-Contractors on construction approach and work sequence.
• Assist the Senior Project Manager, Construction or Senior Manager, Site-Finishing on the project management of Sub-Contractors' site activities.
• Check and review construction drawings and identify discrepancies requiring rectification.
• Carry out daily site inspections with Sub-Contractors to ensure works meet requirements and specifications.
• Monitor and supervise work per Quality System/ITP criteria and record in checklists.
• Conduct Site Quality audit to verify Product Quality Standards, Specifications and workmanship per CONQUAS/QLASSIC.
• Liaise with project teams on audit findings and action plans.
• Coordinate rectification of defective works and ensure closure within the time frame.
• Ensure safety regulations are implemented and complied with.
• Ensure workers wear PPE and are properly attired and equipped.

Job description

This role involves coordinating sub-contractors, conducting site inspections, managing defects, and ensuring safety and health compliance on construction projects.

Key responsibilities

Coordinates and follow up with Sub-Contractors on the proper construction approach and sequence of work

Assist the Senior Project Manager, Construction or Senior Manager, Site-Finishing on the project management of Sub-Contractors' site activities

Checks and review construction drawings and identifies discrepancies that require further attention and rectification

Carries out daily site inspection with Sub-Contractors and ensures that all construction works are carried out in accordance with requirements and specification

Monitors and supervises work as per Quality System/ Inspection test Plan (ITP) acceptance criteria requirements and record in the respective checklists

Conduct Site Quality audit to check and ensure the Product Quality Standards, Specifications and Workmanship standards in compliance with CONQUAS/QLASSIC Quality Management

Liaise closely with project teams and relevant parties on the audit findings/major issues and its action plans

Coordinates the rectification of captured defective works and ensures closure of compliance rate within the stipulated time frame

Ensure that all safety regulations are being implemented and complied with

Ensure that all workers at the work site are properly attired and equipped with safety equipment e.g. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
