Job summary

SCHOTT Glass (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Production Supervisor in Malaysia to lead daily operations, ensure quality and on‑time delivery, and drive continuous improvement. You will plan shifts, coordinate with engineers, train staff, and manage SIV/MIPS data while upholding 5S and TPM standards.

Ideal candidates hold a diploma in engineering/manufacturing with at least 3 years in a supervisory role, plus GD&T knowledge and strong problem‑solving abilities. Competitive benefits available.

• Diploma in engineering, manufacturing, or related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years in a production supervisory role.
• Manufacturing engineering; optical components.
• Basic understanding of geometric dimensioning and technical drawings.
• Supervisory/people management, analytical and problem‑solving skills, results‑and deadline‑oriented.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production operations to meet KPIs including quality, productivity, on‑time delivery, discipline, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
• Communicate policies, procedures, and key information effectively to subordinates.
• Execute daily production plans and coordinate with engineers and support teams to resolve issues.
• Oversee machine operation, perform basic troubleshooting, and escalate equipment malfunctions.
• Plan and manage daily production activities including scheduling, staff assignment, priority setting, and progress monitoring.
• Prepare and submit shift production reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate MIPS data entry.
• Manage SIV registration and maintain adequate levels of consumables.
• Train and qualify team members according to SOPs to improve skill level and work quality.
• Provide coaching, counselling, and manage disciplinary matters for subordinates.
• Enforce 5S, safety practices, and total productive maintenance in the workplace.
• Implement HIRARC and EASI to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
• Collaborate with Planners, Product Development, Process Development, Failure Analysis, and Quality teams to support operations.

Job description
