Job summary

SCHOTT Glass (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee site facilities, plan investments and maintenance for buildings, electrical and machinery. You will monitor costs, coordinate external contractors, and ensure compliance with Building By Law and standards.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in managerial roles, an engineering degree, and strong costing/project-management knowledge to drive efficiency and sustainability onsite.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of managerial experience in project and facilities.
Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Knowledge of facility, costing and project management.
Knowledge of Building By Law.
Responsible towards environmental conservation, health and safety per laws and guidelines.

Responsibilities

Plan all investment, development, and maintenance works at the site for buildings, grounds, transformer, generator set, machinery and equipment.
Monitor cost estimates and development orders for machinery and equipment projects.
Plan budgets and capacities including external contractors.
Develop and provide layout plans.
Suggest improvements for technical operation, premises, machinery and equipment.
Coordinate all installation of equipment.
Ensure compliance with national and international standards for facilities.
Ensure site infrastructure is supplied with electrical, energy and other utilities.
Monitor energy consumption and savings measures.
Analyze efficiency of planned and realized maintenance measures.

Job description

Ensure the facilities functionality, cost improvements and the future development according to the company's business needs under the given law and regulations. Supervise 3-5 staff members.

Key responsibilities

Plan all investment, development, and maintenance works at the site for buildings, grounds, transformer, generator set, machinery and equipment

Monitor cost estimates and development orders as well as projects for the construction of machinery and equipment

Plan budgets and necessary capacities under consideration of services to be obtained from external contractors

Develop and provide layout plans

Keep informed about new technical developments and submit proposals for improvement of technical operation, premises, machinery and equipment

Plan and coordinate all installation of equipment

Ensure adherence to national and international standards and regulations for facilities

Ensure that the site's infrastructure is fully and efficiently supplied with electrical, energy, and other utilities

Monitor and report energy consumption and saving measures at the site

Control and analyze the efficiency of planned and realized maintenance measures

About you

Minimum 10 years' managerial experience in project and facilities

At least a Bachelor degree in Engineering

Knowledge of facility, costing and project management

Knowledge of Building By Law

Responsible towards environmental conservation, health and safety of self and employees according to laws, regulations and guidelines
