Job summary

Hartalega NGC Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Supervisor - Engineering, Plant & Process to oversee electrical and mechanical maintenance across production, QA, warehouse and compounding. You will lead the maintenance team, plan annual schedules, and drive improvements to minimize downtime.

The role requires a Diploma/Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience and supervisory exposure, ideally in glove manufacturing or a similar setting.

• Certificate or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience supervising a team is preferred.
• Experience in glove manufacturing or similar industry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and mechanical breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, and improvement projects across NGC premises (production, QA, warehouse, compounding).
• Lead and manage the maintenance team to drive efficiency, productivity, and teamwork.
• Plan and execute annual maintenance schedules, delivering tasks on time with minimal downtime.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and modify machines and equipment to maintain high reliability.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and government officers on projects, audits, and improvement activities.
• Monitor and control expenditure to remain within budget allocations.
• Drive improvement of overall equipment efficiency (OEE) and implement innovative solutions to reduce frequent breakdowns.
• Enforce safe work practices, including strict application of LOTO and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Maintain proper documentation and records (checklists, reports, ISO compliance files) for audits and operational tracking.
• Rectify customer complaints, provide feedback to superiors, and submit accurate daily reports.
