Job summary

Iyuno seeks a Bahasa Malaysia Subtitle Editor to proofread and edit subtitle files per client guidelines. You will ensure on-time, high-quality deliverables and provide feedback to freelancers as needed.

You must have a Diploma in Linguistics or related field, plus strong Bahasa Malaysia knowledge and English fluency. The role requires tight deadlines, MS Office proficiency, and the ability to coordinate with the project team.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Linguistics/Languages or related field.
• At least six years of related work experience.
• Extensive knowledge of Bahasa Malaysia; fluent in English.
• Languages: Malay, Indonesian; Korean is a plus.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Achieve the minimum daily capacity for a Bahasa Malaysia Subtitle Editor.
• Understand the client's requirements and ensure deliverables are completed accordingly.
• Edit and proofread English translation, subtitle or script files translated by freelancers or provided by clients.
• Liaise with and provide feedback to freelancers when necessary.
• Ensure top quality for all subtitle files and/or translation scripts.
• Communicate with team members or PIC of the projects regarding any concerns related to the assigned projects.

Job description

The main role of a subtitle editor is proofreads/edits subtitle file based on client's requirement and guidelines. Editors are required to provide file that is qualified for delivery and on time. Editors are also required to evaluate freelancers' performance and provide feedback when necessary.

Responsibilities: -

• Achieve the minimum daily capacity for an Bahasa Malaysia Subtitle Editor.

Skills & Experience required:-

• Minimum Diploma in Linguistics/Languages or a related field of study
• Candidates who do not meet the above minimum qualification MUST possess at least six(6) years of working experience in the related field
• Possess extensive knowledge on Bahasa Malaysia language and able to speak and write English fluently
• Required language skills: Malay, Indonesian & Korean (is a plus)
• Ability to accomplish tasks under intense time constraints
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word and Outlook
• Active, positive, self-motivated, and hardworking attitudes are required
