Job summary

Hirehub Group seeks a Structural QC Engineer to oversee fabrication and on-site installation of structural steel for data center projects in Iskandar Puteri, Johor. You will review drawings and methods to ensure welding, bolted connections, coating, and tolerances meet specifications.

Role requires 3–5 years in structural steel works, with QA/QC experience and relevant certifications; strong communication and coordination are essential for successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in structural steel works, fabrication, installation, or construction quality control.
• Good knowledge of structural steel welding, bolted connections, coating, corrosion protection, and installation tolerances.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with QA/QC procedures and relevant certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, welding, or NDT) will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect structural steel fabrication and on-site installation to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Review structural drawings, construction methods, and technical documents, ensuring proper welding, bolted connections, coating, and installation alignment.
• Conduct site inspections, identify quality issues, and coordinate corrective actions with contractors and project teams.
• Ensure structural steel works meet applicable safety, quality, and engineering requirements.
• Maintain inspection records, test reports, and as-built documentation.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and construction teams to resolve technical and quality-related issues.
