Job summary

Hirehub Management Sdn. Bhd. seeks a QA/QC specialist to lead quality assurance for prefabricated modular data center projects.

You will develop QA/ITP plans, review technical documents, and supervise inspections of structural steel and fit-out works, ensuring compliance with project specs and standards. The role demands a Civil/Structural/Mechanical engineering degree and at least 5 years in QA/QC within construction, with strong communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in structural steel, fit-out, MEP installation, or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and installation, including welding, bolted connections, coatings, corrosion protection, and NDT inspections.
• Familiar with fit-out construction processes, quality control procedures, and project documentation management.
• Experience with QA systems, NCR management, CAPA, and ISO 9001 or related quality standards is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia for effective communication with project teams, consultants, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Quality Assurance (QA) plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), and inspection checklists for fit-out and structural steel works.
• Review construction drawings, RFIs, method statements, and technical documents to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor the quality of structural steel fabrication and installation, including welding, bolted connections, coating, corrosion protection, NDT inspections, and dimensional tolerances.
• Conduct quality inspections for fit-out works such as partitions, ceilings, flooring, painting, and equipment interface installations.
• Manage project quality documentation, including drawings, revisions, inspection reports, welding records, coating reports, NDT reports, test results, and handover documents.
• Identify quality issues, raise NCRs, perform root cause analysis, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Coordinate closely with consultants, clients, subcontractors, construction teams, and document control teams to ensure compliance with contract requirements and project standards.
• Support project completion, final inspections, client acceptance, documentation submission, and defect rectification.
