Job summary

Hirehub Group is seeking a QA/QC professional in Malaysia to lead quality assurance for structural steel and fit-out works on major data center projects. The role requires a minimum of five years’ QA/QC experience in construction, with strong knowledge of welding, coatings, NDT, and CAPA/NCR processes.

English and Bahasa Malaysia proficiency is essential. The successful candidate will review drawings, manage ITPs and QC documentation, and coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in structural steel, fit-out, MEP installation, or construction projects.
• Knowledge of welding, bolted connections, coatings, corrosion protection, and NDT inspections.
• Experience with QA systems, NCR management, CAPA, and ISO 9001 is advantageous.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia for project communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement QA plans, ITPs, and inspection checklists for fit-out and structural steel works.
• Review drawings, RFIs, method statements, and technical docs to ensure compliance with specs and quality standards.
• Monitor quality of structural steel fabrication and installation, including welding, bolted connections, coating, corrosion protection, and NDT.
• Conduct quality inspections for fit-out works such as partitions, ceilings, flooring, painting, and equipment interface installations.
• Manage project quality documentation: drawings, revisions, inspection reports, welding records, coating and NDT reports, test results, and handover docs.
• Identify quality issues, raise NCRs, perform root cause analysis, and follow up CAPA actions.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, construction teams, and document control for contract compliance.
• Support project completion, final inspections, client acceptance, documentation submission, and defect rectification.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in structural steel, fit-out, MEP installation, or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and installation, including welding, bolted connections, coatings, corrosion protection, and NDT inspections.
• Familiar with fit-out construction processes, quality control procedures, and project documentation management.
• Experience with QA systems, NCR management, CAPA, and ISO 9001 or related quality standards is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia for effective communication with project teams, consultants, and subcontractors.

Salary Range: RM8000 - RM12000
