Job summary

Hirehub Management Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a structural QC/QA engineer to oversee fabrication and on-site installation of steel works at Iskandar Puteri, Johor Bahru. You will review drawings, ensure welding accuracy, and enforce coating and corrosion protection standards.

The role requires a Diploma/Bachelor's in structural/civil engineering with 3–5 years of relevant experience. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for coordinating with contractors and project teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Structural/Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in structural steel, fabrication, installation or QC.
• Good knowledge of welding, bolted connections, coating, corrosion protection and tolerances.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specs.
• Experience with QA/QC procedures and relevant certifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect structural steel fabrication and on-site installation for compliance.
• Review drawings, construction methods and technical docs for proper welding and connections.
• Conduct site inspections, identify quality issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Ensure structural steel works meet safety, quality and engineering requirements.
• Maintain inspection records, test reports and as-built documentation.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and construction teams to resolve issues.
