Job summary

Ambition, Kuala Lumpur, seeks a Head of Township Development to lead the end-to-end design and planning for high-profile property projects in Malaysia. The role demands strategic oversight of feasibility, market analysis, and approvals, with accountability for quality and schedule adherence.

You will spearhead a multidisciplinary team of architects, engineers, and consultants, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with business goals across the full project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of senior management experience in property development or construction.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Urban Town Planning, or related discipline; Master's advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge of the Malaysian property development process and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong decision-making, team leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and networking skills, with the ability to manage multiple consultants and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design strategy and planning across a portfolio of property development projects.
• Develop and implement strategic plans across the full project lifecycle—from feasibility and market analysis through to authority approvals.
• Oversee project timelines, milestones, and design quality to ensure alignment with management standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of architects, engineers, and consultants, setting clear performance expectations.
• Review building specifications, tender drawings, and design details to minimise errors and variation orders.
• Ensure all planning and building plan submissions are completed on schedule, in line with regulatory requirements.
