Job summary

SAM Engineering & Equipment (M) Bhd is seeking an experienced Manager, Supply Chain Management to lead end-to-end operations for our equipment integration business in Malaysia. You will align procurement, inventory, and logistics with program management and engineering, ensuring on-time delivery and cost-effective execution.

You will drive supplier selection and performance, optimize inventory, and implement best practices across RR/WMS and e-procurement platforms, while guiding a team of SCM

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in progressive supply chain management in manufacturing.
• 3+ years in program/project-driven manufacturing environment.
• Strong procurement, inventory, supplier management, planning, and logistics knowledge.
• Hands-on ERP experience (Oracle or equivalent).
• Technical knowledge in mechanical/equipment integration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business goals for equipment integration.
• Identify and onboard reliable suppliers; negotiate terms and monitor performance.
• Manage procurement to ensure timely material and equipment delivery; maintain optimal inventory.
• Collaborate with program, operations, and management teams on supply chain matters.
• Lead inventory analysis to reduce slow-moving/obsolete stock and optimize turns.
• Continuously improve supply chain processes, implement best practices and automation.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies; monitor market trends and regulations.
• Lead and mentor the supply chain team to meet company objectives.
