Job summary

Nation Gate Computing Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a procurement professional to lead strategic sourcing initiatives, optimize supplier networks and deliver cost improvements across the supply chain, ensuring on-time delivery.

You will analyse spend data, negotiate favorable contracts, manage supplier performance and collaborate with finance and operations to support business objectives, while maintaining procurement documentation. APICS CSCP or similar certification is advantageous.

Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans aligned with company objectives, focusing on cost reduction and supplier optimisation

Analyse spend data and market trends to identify sourcing opportunities and potential supply chain improvements

Identify, evaluate and negotiate with potential suppliers to establish competitive pricing and favourable contract terms

Manage supplier relationships and performance metrics to ensure quality standards and on-time delivery

Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay informed of industry developments and pricing trends

Collaborate with internal stakeholders including procurement, operations and finance teams to understand business requirements

Prepare detailed sourcing proposals and business cases to support procurement decisions

Monitor contract compliance and manage supplier scorecards to track performance against agreed KPIs

Lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency

Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities, supplier communications and procurement documentation

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement or related field

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement or supply chain management

Proven track record in supplier evaluation, negotiation and relationship management

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market trends to inform sourcing decisions

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation

Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

Knowledge of supply chain best practices and industry standards

Strong project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple sourcing initiatives simultaneously

Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy in procurement documentation

Procurement certification (such as APICS CSCP or similar) is advantageous
