Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an on‑site Assistant Sourcing Manager (12‑Month FTT) at our Petaling Jaya office. You will move beyond basic administrative tasks to act as a true commercial advisor on sourcing initiatives.

You will run sourcing workstreams, build cost models to support decision‑making, and learn to use AI and low‑code tools to accelerate analysis and automate routine tasks. You will clarify constraints and prepare negotiation trade-offs for senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Understanding how Procurement creates value beyond price and how to link options to business priorities.
• Ability to build structured business cases, articulate cost drivers, and define post‑award success metrics.
• Experience in shaping negotiation plans and guiding stakeholder decisions.

Responsibilities

• Drive Sourcing Execution: Run medium‑complexity sourcing workstreams with clear plans, sequencing, and milestones.
• Clarify & Align: Engage stakeholders early to clarify requirements, scope, constraints, and success metrics.
• Analyze & Strategize: Perform spend analysis, supplier profiling, and opportunity mapping; draft business cases and sourcing strategies.
• Manage Go-to-Market: Design RFQs/RFPs with questions, evaluation logic, timelines, governance; build cost models and scenarios.
• Negotiate & Document: Prepare negotiation positions and trade-offs for senior leaders; document decisions with risks and rationale.
• Coordinate SMEs: Ensure timely inputs from Legal, Compliance, VenSec, and other SMEs.
• Explore Tech & Automation: Learn and apply low-code/no-code tools and AI assistants to streamline category workflows.
