Job summary

Asia School of Business is seeking a Senior Manager of Research Outreach to lead the Research Office's external-facing activities in Malaysia. You will coordinate partnerships, grants, and events, and engage academics, research institutions, and public/private sector stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Excellent general administration and Project Management skills.
• Excellent command of English and Malay (spoken and written).
• Excellent organisational and collaboration skills, strong team player that can lead and delegate to teams.
• Good presentation skills to communicate to external stakeholders and potential funders.
• Self-motivated to initiate, operate and manage multiple operations in the Research Office.
• Good interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead all external-facing activities on behalf of the Research Office.
• Develop and continuously improve external-facing research-related operational processes including partnership management, grant applications, events, and communications.
• Support development of research activity strategies with leadership of the Research Office and research centres.
• Maintain data on external-facing research activities (grants, agreements, engagements) for governance and audits.
• Supervise Executives, Senior Executives, Managers and external contractors in the Research Office.
• Assist ASB initiatives, events and activities on behalf of the Research Office.
• Serve as focal point for funders, partners and collaborators for the ASB research sector.
• Lead engagements with academics, institutions, and public/private sector stakeholders for ASB"s Research Office.
• Develop and maintain research engagement materials and templates (presentations, emails).
• Explore and prospect universities and leads for research funding.
• Assist in securing funding (pitching, negotiation, contract writing).
• Maintain research funding documents and governance records.
• Manage platforms and processes to facilitate ASB research grants to external parties.
• Lead planning and execution of commercialization of ASB research output with Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre.
• Coordinate research communications strategy and dissemination (press releases, infographics, posts).
• Coordinate events and related marketing efforts with contractors and ASB Marketing.
• Ensure alignment with ASB-wide processes and campaigns.
