Job summary

Kreso Group in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Logistics and Chartering Manager to oversee procurement of shipping and logistics services, drive regional strategy, and optimise margins for our JV assets across Asia.

The role requires strong industry experience, vendor management, and the ability to coordinate regional logistics activities with the commercial team and export ventures. Travel and flexible hours may be needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics and procurement within the chemical or bulk cargo sectors.
• Ability to manage regional logistics strategies and optimize freight rates.
• Strong vendor/shipowner negotiation and contract management capabilities.
• Willingness to travel and adapt to operational hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement regional logistics strategy to obtain competitive freight rates.
• Manage and optimize a regional logistics budget (~USD 50m pa).
• Identify opportunities to reduce shipping costs through partnerships and co-loading.
• Plan, communicate, and schedule vessel space to meet customer requirements, safely and cost effectively.
• Ensure compliance with Marine Standards and supplying site requirements.
• Execute CoA call-offs and spot chartering in line with KPIs.
• Provide timely resolutions to planning and operational issues.
