Job summary

• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying.
• Demonstrated cost estimation and measurement experience.
• Familiarity with building regulations and contracts.
• Excellent numerical and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and Bills of Quantities for construction projects.
• Manage project budgets and monitor expenditure against estimates.
• Conduct site measurements and verify work and materials used.
• Negotiate contract terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare variation orders and assess claims for costs or time extensions.
• Maintain comprehensive cost records and financial documents.
• Liaise with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to meet cost targets.
• Analyze tender documents and advise on cost-effective solutions.
• Conduct cost reconciliation and final accounts upon project completion.
• Provide value engineering advice to optimise costs without compromising quality.
