Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to manage purchasing activities, source suppliers, obtain quotations, and ensure materials are purchased at right quality, quantity, and cost. You will work with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely procurement and smooth operations.

The role requires identifying suitable suppliers, obtaining quotations, processing purchase orders, and negotiating prices and delivery terms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Financing or any related field.
• Able to speak basic Mandarin.
• 1 year experience and above

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery.
• Request, compare and follow up on supplier quotations.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and purchasing documents.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Monitor purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
• Maintain good relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
• Coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure sufficient materials are available when needed.
• Check supplier performance, product quality, and delivery issues.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
• Assist in monitoring market prices and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
