Job summary

NSEC Precision Engineering Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking an experienced Purchasing Executive to strengthen our supply chain and support production growth. You will source and purchase production materials, tools and consumables, evaluate quotations, and issue POs to ensure timely delivery.

You will develop suppliers, monitor performance, and coordinate with Planning, Production, Engineering and Quality to meet operational needs. Strong communication and ERP/MRP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience.
• Experience in purchasing engineering materials, machining tools and consumables is an advantage.
• Understanding of inventory management and MRP/ERP systems.
• Able to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle sourcing and purchasing of production materials, cutting tools, consumables, spare parts, subcontract services and other operational requirements.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations, negotiate pricing, delivery schedules and commercial terms.
• Issue and monitor Purchase Orders to ensure timely delivery and prevent production disruptions.
• Source, evaluate and develop reliable and competitive suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, pricing and responsiveness.
• Coordinate with Planning, Production, Engineering, Quality and other departments to support operational requirements.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and prepare relevant purchasing reports.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement and purchasing efficiency.
