Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Purchasing Executive to manage procurement for manufacturing and machining needs in Sepang. The role requires a Diploma or Degree in a related field with experience in purchasing for machining/manufacturing.

You will source materials, issue POs, monitor inventory, negotiate terms, and maintain supplier relationships to optimise costs. Attention to detail and organised multitasking are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in purchasing/procurement within machining, cutting tools, metal processing, or manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Strong supplier management and negotiation skills.
• Experience handling Purchase Orders (PO), quotations, and procurement documentation.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and material requirements.
• Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials, components, packaging materials, and indirect materials based on production requirements.
• Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production, warehouse, and planning teams to prevent material shortages.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms with suppliers to support cost optimisation.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.Maintain strong relationships with local and overseas suppliers.
• Handle supplier quotations, enquiries, and purchasing documentation.
• Resolve procurement-related issues including delivery delays, quality concerns, and invoice discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and prepare procurement reports.
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and ISO requirements.
• Support continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
