Job summary

Synactic is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Executive to support quality tooling and ensure on-time delivery. You will manage sourcing, negotiations, order tracking, inventory control and supplier reviews to secure quality goods at the best value.

This on-site role in Penang requires strong supplier management, meticulous records, and proactive problem-solving to prevent counterfeit or non-compliant parts and to sustain supplier performance.

Responsibilities

• Source raw materials, components, standard parts, stock items, consumables, office supplies, equipment and services.
• Compare quotations, negotiate pricing and service contracts, authorize or onboard vendors according to procedure.
• Issue purchase orders, maintain accurate records, and track quality, quantity and delivery timelines.
• Coordinate with suppliers, customers and internal teams to resolve supply issues. Seek customer guidance when specifications cannot be met to help prevent counterfeit or non-compliant parts.
• Monitor inventory, maintain purchasing databases, and keep documentation accurate.
• Review purchasing budgets, analyse cost changes and highlight findings to management to support supplier decisions.
• Prepare supplier performance and annual vendor evaluation reports.
• Build strong supplier relationships through clear communication, sound judgement and negotiation.
