Job summary

CBRE Asia Pacific is seeking a Project Management Director in Kuala Lumpur to lead department‑level management services for a geographic market or client account. You’ll oversee initiatives from initiation through completion, supervise staff, and drive growth while ensuring financial performance.

Strong leadership and communication are essential. You will coordinate daily activities, manage schedules, oversee procurement and contracts, and mentor teams to meet targets and deliver high‑quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 15–20 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
• Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated information and convey performance expectations.
• Leadership skills to set and manage targets with impact on multiple department results.
• In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Sophisticated math skills for percentages, fractions and financial calculations.

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision to employees and oversee training, development, evaluations, and coaching.
• Coordinate and manage the team’s daily activities, schedules, tasks, and deadlines.
• Direct all phases of the process for small to medium clients, including procurement and planning.
• Ensure contract procurement, negotiation, execution, and closeouts are accurate and timely.
• Develop new business growth and maintain client relationships.
• Maintain responsibility for financial performance of market, program, and client accounts.
• Identify project risks, lead reviews, and develop risk mitigation plans.
• Apply knowledge across disciplines and model CBRE RISE values in leadership.
• Negotiate with external partners to reach common goals, and solve multi-dimensional problems.
• Identify and improve methods, processes, and standards within the role.
