Job summary

AmBank Group seeks a Project Governance & Control (PGC) professional to lead enterprise-wide governance, controls, and reporting across the project portfolio in Malaysia.

You will ensure initiatives align with strategic priorities, regulatory requirements, and strong financial controls, delivering transparent performance insights for senior management. The role collaborates with risk/compliance, finance, and business units to standardize processes and drive value realization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification.
• Strong knowledge of Bank Negara Malaysia guidelines and risk frameworks.
• Experience with project portfolio management (PPM) and governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Define and improve enterprise-wide project governance frameworks, methodologies and procedures.
• Monitor project performance across scope, timeline, budget, quality and benefits realization.
• Embed risk management, ensure regulatory compliance, and facilitate audits.
• Support governance forums by preparing materials, tracking decisions and follow-ups.
• Act as liaison between project teams, risk/compliance, finance and senior leadership.
