Job summary

Sanmina-SCI Systems (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (Technoplex Penang) is seeking an experienced Production Planning Supervisor to lead end-to-end scheduling for PCBA, mechanical sub-assembly, and box build.

The role bridges customer demands with shop-floor execution, optimizing value stream manufacturing and guiding a planning team. The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in production planning, strong ERP experience (Oracle/SAP), and proven leadership to drive continuous improvement and ensure on-time

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in production planning, scheduling, or material control with direct team management.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or equivalent).
• Strong ability to interface across executives, engineering, shop-floor, and external clients.

Responsibilities

• Oversee master schedules and ensure materials requirements comply for manufacturing.
• Translate customer demand into production build plans based on CTB availability.
• Partner with VSM and operations to maximize productivity and throughput.
• Track production progress, identify and mitigate risks impacting schedule commitments.
• Maintain sub-assemblies inventory levels and prevent stockouts.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Engineering, and Logistics for seamless material flow.
• Serve as primary planning contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding build schedules, PCN/ECN, NPI builds, and delivery commitments.
• Participate in daily/weekly production alignment meetings to track adherence and communicate updates.
• Lead and develop a team of production planners/schedulers; refine policies and KPIs for continuous improvement.
