Job summary

Super Micro Computer, Inc. is seeking a Production Planning Engineer to support our fast-growing organization at the Senai, Johor headquarters.

The role focuses on planning and controlling scheduling activities to balance production and inventory with demand to meet master scheduling requirements. The ideal candidate will manage operating plans, provide daily SKU schedules, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely shipments and optimal capacity utilization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years in manufacturing/materials management, at least 1 year in materials planning.
• Experience with operations, inventory management, MRP systems, lean manufacturing a plus.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to handle production deviations and corrective actions.
• Excellent communication and coordination with cross-functional teams.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop operating plan summaries for assigned product families including demand, inventory, and production data.
• Provide daily bucketed schedules by SKU to manufacturing and install production metrics.
• Plan and prepare production schedules for manufacture of industrial or commercial products.
• Prepare master schedule to meet shipping dates according to forecasts or orders.
• Analyze production specs and plant capacity to determine processes, tools and staffing needs.
• Plan and schedule workflow for each line and operation per established sequences and lead times.
• Coordinate manufacturing activities and monitor schedule performance; resolve delays with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor production schedules, address delays, and adjust plans to unforeseen conditions.
