Job summary

Brooks Automation is seeking an experienced Production Planner to join our new manufacturing facility in Johor Bahru. You will oversee planning, scheduling, and monitoring material flow to meet production and delivery targets in a fast-paced semiconductor environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or related field; minimum 6 years' experience in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of production planning and scheduling processes.
• Proficiency in production planning software and tools.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and lean manufacturing (Oracle ERP a plus).
• Detail-oriented with focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production and non-production areas to be more efficient and reduce waste.

Responsibilities

• Review Oracle MRP and similar applications to ensure timely production planning.
• Attend and manage SIOP and R&O meetings for product lines.
• Create and release Production Orders with dates, capacity, and material availability.
• Analyze root causes of late deliveries and implement corrective actions.
• Support Quality Management by ensuring policies and work instructions are followed.
• Review inventory levels to minimize stock while ensuring adequate supply.
• Schedule production orders based on reorder points or customer orders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
