Job summary

Ormond Group is seeking a detail-oriented procurement officer based in Sandakan, Sabah, to oversee purchases for the group. The role emphasizes cost-efficient sourcing, vendor management, and strong data records.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of working experience in Hotel, resort or F&B chain.
• Fresh graduates with a strong interest in procurement are welcome to apply.
• A balance between a methodical and process-driven approach together with flexibility and creativity when it comes to meeting deadlines and finding solutions.
• Strong negotiation, communication skills (verbal and written), interpersonal and influencing skills.
• You have eagle eyes when it comes to details.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases
• Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers
• Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
• Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options
• Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies
• Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts
• Ensure that the products and supplies are high quality
• Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development
