Job summary

Ormond Group is seeking a detail-oriented procurement officer based in Sandakan, Sabah, to oversee purchasing for the group. You will manage supplier relations, maintain inventory records, and ensure high-quality, cost-efficient supplies through adherence to procurement procedures.

The role emphasizes budgets, vendor assessment, contract negotiation, and timely purchases to support hotel and F&B operations across the group.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field in Hotel, resort or F&B chain.
• A balance between a methodical and process-driven approach together with flexibility and creativity when it comes to meeting deadlines and finding solutions.
• Strong negotiation, communication skills (verbal and written), interpersonal and influencing skills.
• You have eagle eyes when it comes to details.
• You want to be part of the team that works hard, supports each other and has laugh along the way.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases
• Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers
• Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
• Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options
• Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies
• Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts
• Ensure that the products and supplies are high quality
• Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development
