Job summary

METEX STEEL SDN BHD in Nilai is seeking a procurement professional to handle sourcing of materials, equipment and parts for factory operations. You will obtain quotations, evaluate proposals and ensure compliance with purchasing policies.

You will identify and assist in sourcing new vendors, communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, delivery and order status, and issue purchase orders with full documentation for payment processing.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or related field.
• Able to work independently, follow up closely with suppliers, and manage multiple purchases and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and purchasing of materials, equipment, and parts required for factory/production operations.
• Obtain quotations, evaluate proposals, and ensure compliance with company purchasing policies.
• Identify, evaluate, and assist in sourcing new vendors to support operational needs.
• Communicate with suppliers on pricing inquiries, delivery schedules, order status, and clarifications.
• Issue Purchase Orders and ensure all documentation (invoices, PO, DO) is complete and authorised for payment processing.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records.
