Job summary

MEIDEN METAL ENGINEERING SDN BHD is seeking a Purchasing Executive to oversee purchasing activities in line with the Purchasing SOP in Malaysia.

The role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating to reduce material costs, ensuring correct materials are ordered, on-time delivery, and proper documentation. You will work closely with QA/QC and other departments, contributing to ISO 9001/EMS compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in sourcing and negotiating with suppliers.
• Ability to maintain accurate purchasing records.
• Familiarity with BCP and ISO 9001/EMS context.
• Coordination with QA/QC and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee purchasing activities per Purchasing SOP.
• Ensure materials ordered meet quantity, price and specs.
• Ensure on-time deliveries and quality performance with QA/QC.
• Maintain updated purchasing/receiving records.
• Communicate with suppliers for long-term cooperation.
• Assist Purchasing Manager in routine tasks.
• Coordinate with other departments and ISO 9001 audits.
