Phoo n Huat Pte. Ltd. is seeking a focused procurement and material planning specialist in Malaysia to manage purchasing, supplier relations, and inventory planning. You will prepare POs, negotiate terms, and monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery for sales and production schedules.

Responsibilities include coordinating with QA, Warehouse, Production, and Sales, maintaining records for audits, and driving cost-saving initiatives through improved procurement and inventory control.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, procurement, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, and order management, preferably in a retail environment.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing practices, vendor sourcing, and negotiation techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power BI) and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Net Stocks).
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong planning, organizational, and time management capabilities.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and a commitment to achieving procurement objectives.

Aufgaben

• Procurement management: prepare and issue POs, negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times.
• Follow up on outstanding POs to ensure timely delivery and resolve supply issues.
• Evaluate supplier performance on price, quality, delivery, and service.
• Identify alternative suppliers to improve cost competitiveness and minimize supply risks.
• Collaborate with QA, Warehouse, and Logistics to resolve supplier quality issues and inbound/outbound logistics.
• Maintain supplier records, quotations, and procurement documentation for audits.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure policy compliance.
• Collaborate with Production, Sales, Warehouse, QA, Finance, and Logistics to support daily operations.
• Identify and implement improvements in procurement, material planning, and inventory control.
• Creation of new SKUs and new vendors in the system.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned by superior or management.
• Material planning: plan material requirements using MRP, coordinate with Production and Sales for timely availability.
• Monitor material shortages and supplier delivery schedules; take corrective action.
• Manage inventory levels, reorder points, safety stock, and obsolescence.
• Ensure accurate inventory records and material transactions in the MRP system.
• Prepare monthly reports on material availability and inventory write-offs.
