Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 5 years of procurement experience, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong experience in supplier sourcing and development.
• Familiar with quotation comparison, cost analysis and price negotiation.
• Able to operate an ERP system.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Good command of Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia to communicate with relevant suppliers and stakeholders.
• Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, responsible and able to follow up on multiple purchase orders independently.
• Open to candidates of all genders and ages.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers to support the company's purchasing requirements.
• Execute purchase orders and follow up closely with suppliers to ensure materials are delivered on time.
• Request and compare supplier quotations based on pricing, quality, lead time and commercial terms.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Prepare, review and maintain purchasing documents, supplier records and procurement reports.
• Ensure all purchases comply with approved specifications, budgets and company procedures.
• Understand and manage the standard terms and requirements of purchasing contracts.
• Coordinate with production, warehouse and other departments to resolve material or delivery issues.
• Update purchase orders and related procurement information in the ERP system.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain good relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
• Perform other purchasing-related duties assigned by management.
