Job summary

MOG Group of Companies seeks a passionate Merchandising Executive to lead product selection, purchasing, and inventory planning for our Malaysia retail network. You will balance customer demand with profitability and drive product performance across outlets.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience in demand forecasting and Open-to-Buy management, and proficiency in Excel and ERP systems to support stock investment and supplier negotiations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in business, merchandising, or related field.
• 3–5 years of merchandising, buying, or demand planning experience.
• Strong knowledge of inventory planning and Open-to-Buy (OTB) management.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP/inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan product assortment, purchasing strategies and inventory levels.
• Develop demand forecasts using sales trends and seasonality.
• Manage Open-to-Buy budget to optimize stock investment.
• Analyze sales, inventory movement and stock turnover.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers on pricing and terms.
• Monitor market trends and identify growth opportunities.
• Coordinate seasonal buying, launches, and promotions with teams.
• Ensure timely replenishment and balanced inventory across outlets.
• Prepare forecasts, buying plans, and product performance reports.
• Support pricing strategies to improve profitability.
