Job summary

GMG in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Merchandiser who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. You’ll work with Retail Operations, Buying and Planning to ensure the right products hit the floor and promotions land on time.

You’ll analyze daily and weekly trading performance, monitor promotions, and track KPIs to provide actionable insights to management. A 2–4 year background in retail merchandising or planning is preferred, especially in sports or fashion.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years’ experience in retail merchandising or planning.
• Preferably experience in sports or fashion.
• Strong numerical skills, Excel proficiency.
• Experience with retail systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and sell-through by planning smart promotions and markdowns.
• Analyze daily and weekly trading performance to spot trends and take action fast.
• Partner with Retail Operations to ensure stores have the right product mix and stock levels.
• Work with Planning and Buying teams to support seasonal launches and campaigns.
• Monitor competitors’ pricing and promotions to stay ahead of the game.
• Track key KPIs – sales, margin, and stock – and report actionable insights to management.
