Job summary

MOG Group of Companies is seeking a passionate Merchandising Buyer to drive product selection, purchasing, inventory planning, and demand forecasting for our retail network. You will identify market trends, optimize stock investment, and boost product performance across outlets.

The role requires strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and experience with Open-to-Buy budgeting. You will collaborate with Supply Chain, Marketing and Retail Ops to ensure replenishment and profitable category

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in business, merchandising, retail management or related field.
• 3–5 years in merchandising, buying, demand planning, or retail category management.
• Strong knowledge of inventory planning and Open-to-Buy (OTB) management.
• Analytical, negotiation and commercial decision‑making skills.
• Excel proficiency and ERP/inventory systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage product assortment, purchasing strategies, and inventory levels to support sales targets and growth.
• Develop demand forecasts using sales trends, historical data, seasonality, and market insights.
• Manage the Open-to-Buy (OTB) budget to ensure effective stock investment.
• Analyze sales performance, inventory movement, stock turnover, and sell‑through rates.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers on pricing, range, promotions and terms.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer preferences to identify growth opportunities.
• Coordinate seasonal buying plans, new product launches and promotions with Marketing and Retail Ops.
• Ensure timely replenishment and balanced inventory across all retail outlets.
• Work with suppliers and stakeholders to manage delivery timelines and merchandising support materials.
• Prepare sales forecasts, buying plans, inventory reports and product performance analyses.
