Job summary

Renesas Electronics in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia, seeks a Material Planner to ensure timely material availability for production. You will collaborate with Production Planning, Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics and Suppliers to maintain optimal inventory and prevent shortages.

Key responsibilities include generating purchase requisitions, coordinating with operations, tracking demand trends, scheduling deliveries, managing inventory issues and preparing performance reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficient with SAP/ERP systems, advanced Excel, and knowledge of MRP.

Responsibilities

• Determine required materials and generate purchase requisitions.
• Ensure consistent and adequate supply of materials for production.
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, purchasing and quality to meet production goals.
• Track production volume and monitor demand patterns and purchasing trends.
• Schedule and oversee material delivery for production.
• Manage inventory issues, schedule changes and cancellations.
• Prepare performance reports.
