Job summary

Sanmina Corporation in Bayan Lepas, Penang, is seeking a Material Planner with 2+ years of experience to support production schedules by expediting materials and monitoring orders and stocks.

You will review customer demands, manage risks, coordinate with program management and production teams, and create regular reports. Proficiency in CTB, ERP systems, and ECN processes is desirable; a Bachelor’s degree is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a relevant field.
• 2+ years of relevant working experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review customer demands and monitor raw material and component orders and stocks to ensure timely delivery supporting production schedules by expediting materials deliveries.
• Understand and manage risks to minimize impact on production schedule.
• Take follow up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production.
• Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets and support continuous improvement initiatives and identify areas of improvement.
• Minimize obsolete stock and ensure business is left with minimum liability.
• Create regular statistical reports and analysis and update Program Manager (PM) or customers.
• Coordinate with the Program management & production team to meet customer orders.
• Analyze the availability of materials & provide CTB to production planner to develop an aggressive but achievable production schedule.
• Run weekly system reports to determine potential materials shortages that need to be expedited.
• Ensure accuracy of CTB report by validating report.
• Follow-up with buyers to ensure materials are available to support production use per load plan.
• Expedite materials as required or work with buyers for any order cancellations as required per demand change.
• Liaise with PM and engineer on materials related issues, ECN with minimize excess and obsolescence of materials (E&O).
• Provide EnO reason & request for scrap

Education
