Job summary

MVC Resources is seeking a Material / Supply Planner for a multinational food manufacturer in Malaysia. You will manage day-to-day material planning and ordering to optimize inventory, liaise with suppliers, and coordinate logistics for timely deliveries.

Responsibilities include forecasting during peak seasons, tracking orders, and collaborating with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to align supply with demand. Strong ERP and Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in material planning / supply chain / procurement in food manufacturing or related background.
• Strong understanding of inventory management and demand planning.
• Experience dealing with local & overseas suppliers and logistics coordination.
• Familiar with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day material planning and ordering activities to ensure optimal inventory levels.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment to avoid stock-outs (OOS).
• Coordinate with local and overseas suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Plan and forecast material requirements, especially during peak or festive seasons.
• Liaise with logistics partners and forwarders on shipment and customs clearance.
• Track order status and resolve any supply or delivery issues proactively.
• Analyze demand trends and adjust planning strategies accordingly.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and planning data.
• Work closely with internal teams (procurement, warehouse, sales) to align supply with demand.
• Continuously improve planning processes for cost efficiency and service level improvement.
