Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or cost accounting.
• Professional accounting qualifications are an advantage.
• Minimum 3–5 years of manufacturing experience in cost accounting or finance.
• Experience in steel, metal, heavy manufacturing or industrial sector preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate product costing.
• Monitor manufacturing costs including raw materials, labour and overhead.
• Analyse production costs and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Perform cost allocation and ensure accurate recording of production costs.
• Conduct cost variance analysis and investigate deviations from budget or standard costs.
• Monitor inventory valuation and ensure accurate inventory costing.
• Reconcile raw materials, WIP, finished goods and scrap inventory.
• Prepare monthly cost reports and management reports.
• Support month-end and year-end closing related to inventory and cost accounting.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
• Collaborate with Production, Procurement, Warehouse, Engineering and Sales.
• Assist in pricing analysis with accurate cost data.
