Job summary

Adecco’s client in Malaysia is seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, payroll governance, and learning and development. The role requires hands-on leadership with strong knowledge of Malaysian employment laws and foreign-worker management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, Psychology, Industrial Relations or related field.
• 7–10 years progressive HR experience, with at least 4 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in manufacturing, warehousing, logistics or labour-intensive environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation and statutory compliance.
• Proven end-to-end HR management experience: recruitment, payroll governance, compensation & benefits, performance, relations, learning & development.
• Hands-on experience handling disciplinary cases, domestic inquiries, grievances, and separations.
• Experience in foreign-worker management including quota, permits, renewals, hostel compliance.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, analytical and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Develop HR strategies, manpower plans, headcount budgets and organisational structures.
• Oversee recruitment strategies, approve vacancies, manage costs and build talent pipelines.
• Review salary structures, increments, payroll controls and compliance.
• Handle disciplinary investigations, grievances, terminations and retrenchments.
• Develop HR policies ensuring Malaysian employment law compliance.
• Oversee foreign-worker quotas, work permits, renewals and hostel compliance.
• Lead learning & development, training plans and HRD Corp budgets.
• Oversee performance management, KPIs, succession planning and organisation design.
• Lead the HR team and manage external HR service providers.
• Prepare monthly HR reports covering headcount, turnover, costs, payroll and compliance risks.
