Job summary

MR D.I.Y. is a home-grown retailer with over 1,300 stores across Malaysia and Brunei.

This role supports strategic planning, operational excellence, and expansion activities to drive growth in existing businesses and international markets. You will build financial models, conduct market research, and coordinate cross-functional teams to launch new concepts and revenue streams, ensuring timely delivery and strong stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/economics or related field.
• Experience in management consulting, strategy, business planning, corporate finance, or research.
• Strong analytical, numerical, commercial and execution skills.
• Demonstrates strategic thinking with an entrepreneurial mindset an asset.
• Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel), Bloomberg, Capital IQ and related tools.
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support strategic planning and operational excellence for existing businesses and international expansion.
• Assist to launch and scale new concepts or growth projects.
• Identify strategic issues and opportunities influencing growth and profitability.
• Help manage portfolio of investee companies to deliver deal value.
• Develop market intelligence and financial models for business cases.
• Lead cross-functional teams to implement strategic initiatives and new markets.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to meet project timelines.
• Support ad-hoc top management projects as required.
